Recently, with the e-commerce market greatly expanding after COVID-19, revitalizing online business has become the top priority for companies. In particular, the D2C model, where brands directly approach consumers without intermediate distribution stages, is emerging as an important business strategy. Ji-hyun Kim, Team Leader of the Corporate Cooperation Team at Cafe24, stated, “Based on own mall data, companies can immediately respond to consumer reactions to carry out promotions and marketing,” adding, “Since brands take the initiative to maximize customer experience and sales growth, it is a preferred business strategy among global companies.”
At this event, Cafe24 partners such as developers and design agencies who collaborated with large companies like Amorepacific and Daekyo to implement customized shopping malls directly shared cases and know-how on building corporate shopping malls. Seong-ho Lee, CEO of LeaderMine, cited the hair brand ‘Ayunchae’ shopping mall of Amorepacific as an example, saying, “We can convert shopping mall member, order, and product data to fit internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) standards to build an integrated data management system.”
Tips for expanding online sales were also shared in detail. Kyung-hwa Kang, Team Leader of the Business Operations Team at Cafe24, said, “It is important to define the product sales type suitable for the brand to create loyal customers and minimize customer churn through various events,” adding, “If you consider products from the customer’s perspective and establish a service foundation that keeps pace with the times, sales will naturally increase.”
