Gwangju University Hosts the 22nd Jinwol Metal Sculpture Exhibition
Exhibition of Metal Craft and Jewelry Design Alumni at Hosim Museum Until the 5th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 28th that the "22nd Jinwol Metal Sculpture Exhibition" will be held at the Hosim Art Museum on the first floor of the Theater Building until the 5th of next month.
This exhibition by the "Jinwol Metal Sculpture Association," centered on alumni of Gwangju University's Department of Metal Craft and Jewelry Design, features about 30 works by 12 graduate students and alumni, as well as invited artists including Professors Song Sook-nam, Oh Byung-wook, Yoon Jae-won, Hwang Ye-jin, and Lee Maeri from the Department of Fashion and Jewelry.
Since its first founding exhibition in 1999, the "Jinwol Metal Sculpture Association" has produced metal craft artists mainly in the Gwangju area and has held alumni exhibitions annually for over 20 years.
All participating artists in the exhibition are actively working as metal craft artists in Gwangju, as well as in Daejeon, Seoul, and overseas, and are dedicated to nurturing future talents and popularizing metal craft through current and former teaching positions at universities in each region.
