Chosun University of Science and Technology Hosts 'Il-Dream Untact Job Fair'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun Institute of Science and Technology (President Cho Soon-gye) announced on the 27th that it will hold the ‘2021 Job-Dream Untact Job Fair’ for current students and graduates seeking employment through its website from the 27th until November 5th.
Hosted by the Chosun Institute of Science and Technology Student Employment Center, this fair is conducted as part of the Junior College Innovation Support Project and is jointly sponsored by Gwangju Metropolitan City, Jeollanam-do, and the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event is operated in a non-face-to-face (untact) manner. The Chosun Institute of Science and Technology expects that this fair, which provides job information by company, will not only offer practical help to students’ employment but also serve as a ‘job matching’ platform connecting unemployed students of the university with recruiting companies.
Through the dedicated website for the ‘2021 Job-Dream Untact Job Fair,’ various employment-related information such as company-specific recruitment details, recruitment consultations (via chat and video), and special lectures on job preparation are provided. A total of 35 companies are participating, and candidates can submit resumes and self-introduction letters through the website, proceed through non-face-to-face (video) interviews, and continue through the hiring process.
President Cho Soon-gye of Chosun Institute of Science and Technology stated, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the term ‘untact recruitment’ has emerged as a new trend. Job seekers need to strengthen their own competitiveness by preparing for ‘untact recruitment’ such as video interviews and AI interviews.” He added, “I hope this ‘Untact Recruitment Fair’ will serve as an opportunity for job seekers to comprehensively acquire overall recruitment trends, career, and employment information amid the rapidly changing job market.”
