Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Intensifies Promotion of 'Residential Fire Safety Equipment' Installation During Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Song Seonghun) intensified its campaign to promote the installation of 'residential fire safety equipment' to returning holiday travelers and visitors to multi-use facilities during the recent Chuseok holiday period.
According to Gwangsan Fire Station on the 26th, this campaign was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner using banners, signboards, and large electronic displays at Songjeong Station, large supermarkets, and traditional markets to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
'Residential fire safety equipment' refers to standalone alarm-type detectors that notify occupants to evacuate early in case of fire and fire extinguishers that can suppress fires in their initial stages.
According to the 'Act on Fire Prevention, Installation and Maintenance of Firefighting Facilities, and Safety Management,' it is mandatory to install these in detached houses, row houses, and multi-family houses (excluding apartments and dormitories).
