Along the East Coast and Jeju Island coast, high waves will strongly surge onto sandy beaches due to incoming swells. Sea waves are expected to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea nearshore. In the offshore waters (approximately 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to be 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the South Sea.
