Joining the 'Hangawi 40,000 Steps Walking' Band Conducted Remotely
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hapcheon County Health Center in Gyeongnam held the ‘Hangawi 40,000 Steps Walking’ event for five days during the Chuseok holiday starting from the 18th to revitalize residents exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The walking event, held over the five days of the Chuseok holiday from the 18th to the 22nd, was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner to prevent COVID-19 infection and comply with quarantine guidelines by using a walking app and joining the ‘Hangawi 40,000 Steps Walking’ band.
Notably, the event was mainly participated in by family units, and the number of participants far exceeded the initial limit of 300, reaching 391.
Among the participants, 368, accounting for 94%, achieved the target of 40,000 steps (at least 8,000 steps per day) over the five days and were rewarded with success items (Vitamin C).
