On the 23rd (local time), according to the British daily The Times, a recent poll conducted by the U.S. polling firm Harvard-Harris showed that 46% of respondents had a positive view of President Biden. The positive rating for former President Trump was 48%, 2 percentage points higher.
In this survey, the Biden administration also received lower ratings than the Trump administration. Among respondents, 55% said former Vice President Mike Pence was better than his successor Kamala Harris. Additionally, 63% viewed former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo more positively than Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Foreign media analyzed these results as reflecting voters' disappointment with the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan amid chaos, the surge in COVID-19 cases, immigrants flooding the Mexican border, and the deadlock in Congress.
