Ministry of Foreign Affairs Expresses Commitment to Participate in Resolving Afghan Situation at G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 22nd (local time) that it attended the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Afghanistan held via video conference and discussed cooperation measures regarding the Afghan crisis.
This meeting was hosted by Italy, the chair country of this year, on the occasion of the UN General Assembly to raise international attention on the Afghan crisis and seek cooperation at the G20 level.
The participants expressed their determination that the international community must cooperate to provide prompt humanitarian aid, international cooperation for counter-terrorism, protection of human rights, and securing freedom of movement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained.

Ham Sang-wook, Director-General for Multilateral Diplomacy, who attended representing the government, expressed concern about the seriousness of the current situation in Afghanistan and stated that the Korean government will join the international community's efforts to improve the situation.
