Gwangju Seo-gu Hosts 'Book Concert' Featuring Author Kim Jin-myung
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) will hold a book concert with author Kim Jin-myung for book club members at 7 p.m. on the 28th in the Deulbul Hall on the 2nd floor of Seo-gu Office.
According to Seo-gu on the 23rd, this book concert is themed around the books "Goguryeo" and "Virus X," providing a time to discuss Korean identity and to reflect on the path forward in the post-COVID era.
In the "Meeting with the Author" program, author Kim Jin-myung will be invited to hold a Q&A session based on questions submitted through both online and offline channels. Selected members who submit questions and opinions will receive books signed by the author.
Author Kim Jin-myung debuted with "The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed," which recorded the highest sales in publishing history at the time and was called the "National Novel." In 2010, he serialized the epic novel "Goguryeo," which was selected as the Book of the Year in 2011 by Yes24 and Interpark Books.
This event will be held simultaneously online and offline, and 30 outstanding book club members will be given the opportunity to participate on-site.
Book club members who cannot attend in person can participate via Seo-gu Office's YouTube live stream.
Even residents who are not book club members but are interested in this concert can enjoy the book concert through the YouTube live stream.
