[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do selected Park Beom-jun, Park Yoon-sook, and Kim Sang-min as outstanding proactive public officials for the first half of this year for practicing proactive administration.
According to Jindo-gun on the 23rd, three public officials who contributed to improving the convenience of residents through the implementation of creative policies that residents can feel and practiced proactive administration were selected as outstanding proactive public officials for the first half of the year.
Park Beom-jun, team leader of the Jindo Port Development Division, was selected as the top grade after residing in each village and holding residents' meetings to reach an agreement on fishing rights, enabling smooth project progress when severe conflicts arose among residents due to the inclusion of licensed fishing areas of three village fisheries cooperatives near the target site of the Fishing Village New Deal 300 project, which delayed the project.
Park Yoon-sook, team leader of the Jindo-gun Health Center, selected as excellent grade, safely and promptly conducted vaccinations for residents of 24 uninhabited islands including Gwanmaedo, where there are no medical institutions, on naval vessels through consultation with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, the Navy, and Jeollanam-do, along with operating a pre-reservation call center for vaccination candidates and establishing a vaccination center.
Kim Sang-min, administrative officer of the Economic Marketing Division, minimized residents' inconvenience by preventing double excavation and saving 200 million KRW in budget and shortening construction periods by integrating the LPG pipeline distribution project, undergrounding of power lines project, and the creation of bright streets on major roads in Jindo-eup through consultations with KEPCO and private telecommunications companies.
The outstanding proactive public officials were finally selected by combining the scores of the newly introduced employee voting and the second presentation evaluation by the Jindo-gun Proactive Administration Support Committee, which includes civilian members, for candidates selected through the first practical screening.
The three selected cases received high scores across evaluation indicators such as resident perception, the proactiveness, creativity, and expertise of the person in charge, the importance and difficulty of the task, and the potential for dissemination, showing excellent results especially in the resident perception category.
