KB Kookmin Bank Signs Strategic Business Agreement with Lloyd Banking Group in IB Sector
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 23rd that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) in the IB (Investment Banking) sector with the UK's Lloyd Banking Group.
Through this business agreement, KB Kookmin Bank will be able to selectively co-invest in real estate syndicated loans conducted by Lloyd Banking Group. The two companies plan to expand the scope of cooperation in the future. KB Kookmin Bank has been able to establish a foothold for pioneering overseas financial markets through cooperation with global financial institutions, while Lloyd Banking Group will be able to strengthen its network with Asian financial institutions and solidify its market position in the UK through this agreement.

Separately, KB Kookmin Bank plans to open an 'IB unit' in Singapore in December to steadily expand its global IB sector. A KB Kookmin Bank official stated, "We will utilize advanced country IB bases to pioneer markets in North America, Europe, and Australia," adding, "In the future, we will expand our scope to various sectors focused on real assets, including not only energy and power generation but also real estate and public-private partnership (PPP) projects, building a balanced global asset portfolio."
