'Fortinet Champ' Max Homa jumped 13 spots to 3.31 points in the weekly official golf world rankings announced on the afternoon of the 20th (Korean time). He accumulated points by achieving a one-stroke come-from-behind victory (19-under 269) on the final day of the Fortinet Championship (total prize money $7 million), the opening event of the 2021/2022 PGA Tour season, held that morning at Silverado Golf Course in Napa, California (par 72, 7,123 yards). It was his first win of the new season and his third career victory.

Maverick McNealy (both from the United States), who finished as runner-up by one stroke, soared 37 spots from 113th to 76th. He settled for second place (18-under 270) after a double bogey on the 17th hole (par 4) late in the round. Jon Rahm (Spain) remains number one, and the 'Top 5' including Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, and Xander Schauffele (all from the United States) remain unchanged. South Korea's Im Sung-jae (23) is ranked 29th, Kim Si-woo (26) 47th, and Lee Kyoung-hoon (30, both from CJ Logistics) is in 59th place.
