[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in departed for the United States on the afternoon of the 19th to attend the 76th United Nations General Assembly.
Park Kyung-mi, spokesperson for the Blue House, stated, "President Moon gave instructions on domestic and international issues to Minister of the Interior and Safety Jeon Hae-cheol and Chief of Staff Yoo Young-min, who came to see him off at Seoul Airport. President Moon wore a white shirt with a striped necktie, and First Lady Kim Jung-sook was dressed in a purple two-piece suit. They wore masks embroidered with the Taegeukgi and the UN flag. After conversing with Minister Jeon, Chief of Staff Yoo, and others present at the scene, President Moon and the First Lady boarded Air Force One.
After arriving in New York, President Moon is scheduled to begin a summit with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the 20th (local time), followed by summits with Slovenia and Vietnam.
