[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The government will receive an additional 2,843,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer, the U.S. pharmaceutical company with which it has an individual contract, on the 20th.
On the 19th, the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team announced that 2,843,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine are scheduled to arrive at Incheon Airport at 1:40 a.m. on the 20th. The flight number is LH8408. This vaccine is part of the 66 million doses procured through direct contracts.
A total of 7,002,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were imported in the first half of the year, and 14,083,000 doses in July and August. Including the shipment arriving on the 20th, 11,308,000 doses will be supplied in September. Including other products besides Pfizer, a total of 69.23 million doses of vaccines will have been imported into the country by the 20th.
