National Institute of Environmental Research Rated as an 'Excellent Institution' in Annual Evaluation of 8 Items, Testing and Inspection
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan Health and Environment Research Institute received a "suitable" rating in all categories in the "2021 Proficiency Test Evaluation in the Air Sector" conducted for chimney dust sample collection in the air sector.
The institute explained that it was recognized as an "excellent institution" for domestic testing and inspection.
The evaluation was conducted under the supervision of the National Institute of Environmental Research to improve the testing and inspection capabilities of measurement and analysis institutions and to ensure the accuracy and reliability of inspection results.
The evaluation is conducted annually for environmental pollutant measurement and analysis institutions nationwide, including regional (local) environmental offices, city and provincial health and environment research institutes, the Environmental Management Corporation, and private measurement agencies.
The evaluation of chimney dust sample collection in the air sector includes eight categories: preparation/safety inspection, sampling device inspection, leakage confirmation test, sample collection process, sample collection proficiency, result calculation, time overrun, and precision and calibration tests.
