Youth Group Illegally Enters Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building, Arrested by Police
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Members of the 'Youth National Assembly for System Change' were arrested by the police after illegally entering the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.
According to the police on the 17th, 16 members of the group entered the building by surprise around 9:30 a.m. through the main gate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The police subdued them within about 30 minutes and arrested 12 people on the spot for trespassing, including 8 men and 4 women, and took them to the police station. The other 4 left the premises voluntarily and were not arrested. It is reported that they entered through the gate when it was opened for vehicle access.
