[Photo] Homecoming Procession Begins Today
On the 17th, a day before the Chuseok holiday, vehicles are lined up moving on the southbound lanes of the Gyeongbu Expressway near Jamwon IC in Seocho-gu, Seoul. According to the Korea Transport Institute, the average daily travel volume during this holiday is expected to increase by 3.5% compared to last year's Chuseok and by 31.5% compared to this year's Seol. Most travelers are expected to use private cars, leading to anticipated congestion on the expressways. The heaviest traffic for outbound trips is expected on the morning of the 20th, the day before Chuseok, while the return traffic will be most congested on the afternoon of the 21st, the day of Chuseok. /Reporter Mun Honam munonam@
