12 New Local COVID-19 Cases with 'Unknown Infection Routes' Confirmed in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Sporadic local infections continued in Gwangju, including cases with unknown infection routes, foreigner testing, and contact with previously confirmed patients.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 16th, as of 2 p.m. that day, 12 new locally transmitted confirmed cases were reported, classified as numbers 4541 to 4552.
Cases 4544, 4545, 4546, and 4549 were confirmed to be related to testing of foreigners located in Gwangsan-gu. So far, a total of 210 confirmed cases have been linked to this infection cluster.
Cases 4542, 4543, 4547, and 4548 were contacts of previously confirmed patients numbered 4531, 4188, 4473, and 4472, respectively.
Confirmed cases with unknown infection routes also occurred consecutively.
Cases 4541 and 4550 to 4552 were all confirmed through voluntary diagnostic testing.
