The Small Store Re-Storing campaign is part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, selecting small stores operated by elderly owners who face difficulties in product and display management, providing display consulting, rearranging products, and cleaning the store. The Southern Branch of Lotte Distribution Business Headquarters has been conducting this activity regularly once a month since starting at 'Woori Mart' in Yeongdeungpo-gu in March.
The Southern Branch of Lotte Distribution Business Headquarters stated, "'Sindo Mart' is operated solely by an owner in their 60s. Although the overall store operation is kept clean, due to the nature of small stores, the shelves and fixtures were old, and the store space was not fully utilized, resulting in somewhat inefficient displays," adding, "Therefore, employees of the Southern Branch rearranged products using shelf utilization methods considering the characteristics of each product and shopping flow." They explained that they improved the store environment to be more customer-friendly and standardized by cleaning the beverage refrigerator and attaching price tags, tasks difficult for the elderly owner to perform directly.
