Eco-friendly Station Based on 'Renault Twizy' Opens in Busan
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 16th that the TOURZY station, based on the ultra-compact electric vehicle Renault TWIZY, has opened within the Osiria Tourist Complex in Busan.
‘TOURZY’ is a vehicle-sharing service for tourism in Busan provided under a support plan for fostering mobility-based startups, jointly offered by Renault Samsung Motors and Busan Metropolitan City.
The Busan tourism venture startup ‘Tourstaff’ is also involved, providing a contactless mobility sharing service using the ultra-compact electric vehicle TWIZY.
Following BEXCO, Renault Samsung Motors will supply Renault TWIZY vehicles to the TOURZY station, which has been completed with 100 parking spaces within the Osiria Tourist Complex in Busan, leading smart green tourism for carbon neutrality.
TOURZY is an eco-tour car-sharing service based on the country’s only free-floating vehicle return system called Return-Free, allowing free rental and return at TOURZY stations located at major tourist spots in Busan, as well as rental for only the needed time.
Since the reservation and return system is operated via smartphones, it is expected to be highly utilized as an eco-friendly transportation method in major tourist cities where public transportation is inconvenient.
