Saneun Holds 'Sharing Love' Event for Chuseok Celebration
Delivery of Songpyeon and Donations to Sister Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] On the 15th, the Korea Development Bank announced that it held a 'Sharing Love for Chuseok' event for underprivileged groups in the local community in celebration of Chuseok, the traditional Korean holiday.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and strengthened social distancing measures, the bank delivered songpyeon (rice cakes) and sponsorship funds to nine sister welfare facilities living in difficult conditions. Additionally, essential goods such as songpyeon and anchovies were provided to about 350 underprivileged households, including elderly living alone and single-parent families in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
Furthermore, the bank practiced neighborly love by visiting the sister free meal service center, ‘Bethel Nanum Community,’ to volunteer in distributing lunch boxes and sharing songpyeon.
