Muan County Muan General Hospital Wins Excellence Award at Life Love Challenge Contest

View original image[Muan＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 15th that Muan General Hospital won the Excellence Award in the emergency medical institution category at the 2021 Life Love Challenge Contest recently hosted by Jeollanam-do and the Jeonnam Regional Mental Health Welfare Center.
The Life Love Challenge Contest was held on the 10th to mark Suicide Prevention Day to encourage interest in suicide prevention and contribute to the spread of a culture that respects life. The judging was conducted by Jeollanam-do and the Jeonnam Regional Mental Health Welfare Center.
This contest involved 87 related and affiliated institutions from 16 villages, including Life Love Villages, pharmacies, local clinics, and emergency medical institutions across 22 cities and counties in Jeonnam, submitting photos and videos conveying the meaning of respecting life.
In Muan County, three local clinics, two Life Love Pharmacies, three Life Love Villages, and one emergency medical institution participated.
Muan General Hospital, an emergency medical institution, participated in an interactive contest using Life Love-related phrase banners, where psychiatric ward medical staff and mental health welfare center employees took photos together, resulting in being selected as an excellent institution in the Emergency Room Life Link (medical institution) category.
Governor Kim San said, “We are promoting various projects related to suicide prevention, such as broadcasting the Life Love logo song, operating mental health crisis counseling hotlines, and installing logo projectors (floor lighting) in high-risk suicide areas,” adding, “We hope this Life Love Challenge activity will serve as an opportunity to prevent suicide and spread a culture that respects life.”
