On this day, through the Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as 'Fruit of Love'), the bank delivered lunchboxes containing songpyeon and meal kits to a total of 270 households, including about 170 elderly living alone in Yeongdeungpo-gu. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, instead of the bank, the Singil Comprehensive Social Welfare Center delivered the items to the doors of the households and contacted them by phone to confirm receipt.
Ahead of the Hangawi holiday, the bank also implemented a 'Satisfaction for Both Producers and Vulnerable Groups' program. The bank supported the purchase of agricultural products at the Yeongdeungpo Sarang Sharing Food Bank Market, securing fruits and agricultural products that had difficulty securing sales channels and provided them free of charge to vulnerable groups in Yeongdeungpo-gu.

A bank official said, “Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, it was difficult to conduct face-to-face volunteer activities, so this holiday we carried out the sharing event indirectly through welfare institutions,” adding, “We hope that this small gift from the bank during this Hangawi holiday will bring some comfort to those in the social welfare blind spots.”
