Daegum: "No Report Submitted to the Ministry of Justice Regarding Yoon Seok-yeol's Alleged 'Accusation Instigation' Charges"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The prosecution denied media reports that it had submitted a report to the Ministry of Justice stating that it was difficult to apply charges to former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol in connection with the 'accusation inducement' suspicion.
On the afternoon of the 14th, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office stated regarding the Dong-A Ilbo report, "After reaching a tentative conclusion that it is difficult to apply major charges such as abuse of authority and violation of the Public Official Election Act against former Prosecutor General Yoon, who is not a prosecutorial official, there was no fact of sending such a report to the Ministry of Justice last week."
The Dong-A Ilbo reported that the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Inspection Department, which is investigating the truth of the accusation inducement suspicion, reviewed the legal grounds and, amid uncertainty about whether former Supreme Prosecutors' Office Investigation Information Policy Officer Son Jun-sung gave instructions, concluded that it was difficult to apply charges such as abuse of authority and disclosure of official secrets against former Prosecutor General Yoon, and submitted a report containing this content to the Ministry of Justice.
Regarding this report, Minister of Justice Park Beom-gye also denied the content at the plenary session of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee held at the National Assembly on the same day.
