President Moon Appoints BTS as 'Presidential Special Envoys' for UN General Assembly
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in awarded BTS a letter of appointment as the 'Presidential Special Envoy for Future Generations and Culture' on the 14th, ahead of their attendance at the 76th United Nations General Assembly in New York next week.
Earlier, in July, President Moon had appointed BTS as the 'Presidential Special Envoy for Future Generations and Culture.' BTS will begin their official special envoy activities by attending the UN General Assembly.
At this UN General Assembly, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be a key agenda item. BTS will attend the 'SDG Moment' event held on the 20th, where they will deliver a speech and present a performance through video. The SDG Moment is an annual event led by the UN Secretary-General, held since last year in accordance with the political declaration of the 2019 Sustainable Development Goals Summit.
