[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, is implementing a 'Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Plan' to ensure the safety and convenience of residents and visitors during the holiday period.
According to the county on the 14th, a comprehensive situation room will be set up for five days from the 18th to the 22nd, operating 12 task forces in areas closely related to residents' safety and daily life, such as COVID-19 prevention, health and medical care, disaster and accident response, transportation of visitors to island areas, and tourist accommodation.
The public health center will strengthen monitoring of close contacts and overseas entrants under self-quarantine through operation of screening clinics during the holiday period, and will activate a 24-hour emergency quarantine work system in case of confirmed cases.
In addition, 22 medical institutions including Jindo Hanguk Hospital emergency room and 11 pharmacies will operate during the holiday period, and information on holiday duty pharmacies can be found on the Jindo-gun Public Health Center website or Jindo County Office.
In particular, through the operation of the Jindo-gun Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, administrative efforts are focused on monitoring disaster situations such as COVID-19 infectious diseases, and from the 13th to the 22nd, compliance with quarantine rules at multi-use facilities such as social welfare facilities is being inspected, along with special disinfection by the town and township life quarantine teams.
For quarantine purposes, public sports facilities such as gateball courts, indoor swimming pools, public stadiums, and Arirang Sports Park will be closed from the 19th to the 25th.
Main tourist sites such as Unlim Sanbang, Jindo Tower, and Namdo Traditional Art Museum will operate normally while complying with quarantine guidelines, and household waste will be collected on the 18th and 20th (and on the 19th and 22nd in Jodo-myeon).
