Tmap Mobility Installs 'TMAP Auto' in Volvo XC60
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] TMAP Mobility announced on the 14th that TMAP Auto will be installed in the 'The New Volvo XC60.'
TMAP Auto is a navigation system evolved to suit the automotive environment, designed and optimized to provide the best user experience by adapting the mobile TMAP service for cars. The newly announced New XC60 is the first case to be equipped with integrated infotainment (IVI) including TMAP Auto, SK Telecom's artificial intelligence (AI) platform 'NUGU,' and music platform 'FLO.'
Unlike Android Auto, which requires a smartphone connection, it is based on the vehicle-installed Android OS (AAOS). Drivers can use organically connected services through TMAP navigation and the AI NUGU, which has excellent voice recognition, for everything from destination search to vehicle control and music playback.
TMAP Mobility plans to add various functions verified in the mobile TMAP navigation to TMAP Auto. Additionally, it intends to rapidly expand the TMAP Auto ecosystem in areas with rapidly increasing user demand, such as the recently launched real-time popular place notification service 'Tjigeum,' 'TMAP Celeb,' which provides navigation guidance with voices of celebrities or characters, as well as parking, designated driver, and electric vehicle charging payment services. Furthermore, by connecting mobility assets owned by SK Group, including fuel, insurance, car wash, and maintenance, the company plans to solidify its position as the number one platform for 'owner drivers.'
