Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong Meets Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum... Attends Youth Job Training Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong will resume his first official activities since his release with a meeting with Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum.
According to the business community on the 13th, Vice Chairman Lee is expected to attend the 'Samsung Youth Software Academy (SSAFY)' training site visited by Prime Minister Kim on the 14th. It is known that Lee will personally guide Prime Minister Kim at the Samsung Multi-Campus located in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, and explain the SSAFY project details and current status.
Prime Minister Kim is operating this week as Youth Week to commemorate Youth Day on the 18th and is attending youth job sites and cultural events.
Samsung's SSAFY project is a program supported by the government and companies to provide education and jobs to alleviate youth employment difficulties. It started in 2018 and has produced more than 2,000 software education graduates to date.

During the month after his release, Lee has been busy going back and forth between the Seocho and Suwon headquarters, receiving delayed work reports and establishing large-scale investment plans, but he has refrained from external official activities as much as possible due to controversies over employment restrictions.
Since this meeting is a visit to an educational site rather than a formal official event, and it can demonstrate Vice Chairman Lee's commitment to employment and social contribution, it appears that this event was chosen as his first external schedule.
