On this day, the council members visited Jinju Dongbu Nursing Home, Doriwon, and Gyeongnam Senior Specialized Nursing Home, all located in Jinju City, delivering consolation gifts to help ensure a warm Chuseok holiday and listening to on-site difficulties.
The consolation gifts were delivered outside the facilities to minimize contact with facility workers and users.
They also listened to the immediate hardships and difficulties faced by social welfare facility officials and discussed continuous interest and support measures from the provincial council level for social welfare facilities.
Vice Chairman Jang said, "Considering that the elderly residents in the facilities have endured many lonely and difficult days due to restrictions on family visits caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, it is a very regrettable reality as a local council member."
