Yeonggwang-gun Launches 'Integrity Campaign' for All Employees
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 13th that it conducted a ‘Integrity Campaign’ targeting all employees ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
This campaign, conducted jointly by the Public Officials Labor Union and the Audit Department, was carried out with the purpose of encouraging public officials to reaffirm their commitment to practicing integrity, especially as the likelihood of corruption increases during the holiday season.
The county distributed chocolate pies containing ‘Jeong (情)’ to symbolize mutual goodwill, along with leaflets detailing the Public Officials Code of Conduct and the practice of eradicating corruption.
They also called for active interest and participation in integrity by chanting slogans such as ‘Integrity Culture Together’ and ‘Corruption-Free Integrity Yeonggwang.’
The Audit Department plans to conduct public service discipline inspections targeting all departments before and after the holiday until the 1st of next month, aiming to prevent negligence in duty, dereliction of duty, acceptance of money or entertainment, drinking, and other misconducts that may arise in the festive atmosphere, thereby strengthening public service discipline.
A county official said, “We hope that the Chuseok holiday will serve as an opportunity for public officials to make practicing integrity a daily habit and raise awareness of integrity,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to become a county trusted by residents through ongoing integrity activities.”
