Yeongam-gun Expands Free Milk Supply Support to All Schools
Promotion with all enrolled students from 36 schools in the district
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 13th that starting in September, free milk feeding will be provided to all students of 36 elementary, middle, high, and special schools in Yeongam, including middle and high schools with more than 240 students.
Originally, the free milk feeding project was supported by national, provincial, and county budgets to cover basic eligible students among elementary, middle, high, and special school students. From this year, the target has been expanded to include all elementary schools and middle and high schools with 240 or fewer students.
In Samho area, where there are many students in middle and high schools, not all students have received free milk feeding support; only some students were supported.
Accordingly, Yeongam-gun secured an additional 20 million KRW from the county budget on top of the existing 400 million KRW budget to provide free milk feeding to all students in Yeongam schools, including middle and high schools with more than 240 students, starting from the second semester.
