Yanolja Supports Partner Stores in Overcoming COVID-19 with 'Untact Check-in'
[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Leisure platform Yanolja announced on the 13th that it supports partner stores in overcoming the COVID-19 crisis through contactless check-in technologies such as the 'Y FLUX Kiosk.'
The 'Y FLUX Kiosk' developed by Yanolja is the first kiosk in Korea linked with a reservation platform. When the QR code issued on the platform is scanned by the device, check-in is completed within 5 seconds, and guests can receive their room keys. According to the company, this reduces the time customers spend on check-in and decreases face-to-face interaction time for accommodation operators, thereby improving operational efficiency.
Since April this year, Yanolja has been implementing a support policy that refunds up to 100% of the kiosk purchase cost. This policy considers the industry's difficulty in investing in technology despite increasing customer preference for contactless check-in due to COVID-19. If partner stores achieve a minimum usage rate for six months after linking the Y FLUX Kiosk with the Yanolja platform, the full kiosk purchase cost is refunded as Yanolja Biz Points. Yanolja plans to invest an additional 1 billion KRW or more in the second half of this year to support the adoption of contactless technology by partner stores.
Yanolja is also conducting a self check-in event. Until next month, all guests who check in using the Y FLUX Kiosk will receive a reward of approximately 10,000 KRW.
