On the 12th, Ulsan City revealed the slogan and poster for the "1st Ulsan International Film Festival," which will be held from December 17 to 21 at the Ulsan Culture and Arts Center and local cinemas.
The slogan is "The Gaze of Youth, and Their First Step." It signifies the beginning of the Ulsan International Film Festival, focusing on young filmmakers and supporting their dreams.
It embodies the intention to capture society through the eyes of youth and life drawn with the heart of youth, aiming to make a powerful leap forward together with the Ulsan International Film Festival.
The poster depicts a red carpet extending toward the far end of the sea connected to the world through a radial composition. This carpet symbolizes an invitation and welcome to directors and filmmakers worldwide.
Dynamic and grand emotions are emphasized, with minimal expression to highlight the contrast of colors. The creator hopes the poster will leave a strong impression of the Ulsan Film Festival’s inaugural start on the global film community.
The poster was created by Park Jung-young, CEO of Empound, an artist from Ulsan.
The official festival trailer is being produced in animation format, highlighting the characteristics of a youth film festival and the first edition of the event, and is scheduled to be released in October.
A Ulsan city official stated, "Currently, filming of supported film projects is ongoing in Ulsan," and added, "We hope for great interest in the 1st Ulsan International Film Festival, where you can encounter passionate works by young filmmakers."
