Haenam Love Gift Certificates, Largest Sales Nationwide Among County Units

105.7 Billion KRW Sales This Year, 10% Discount Up to 1 Million KRW Per Month in September-October

[Haenam＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] The Haenam Love Gift Certificate issued by Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, has achieved the highest sales amount among county-level regions nationwide.

According to the county on the 8th, as of August, the Haenam Love Gift Certificate recorded sales of 105.7 billion KRW, marking the highest sales amount among county-level local governments nationwide.

In particular, general sales purchased by individuals, corporations, and organizations accounted for 88.2 billion KRW, or 83.4% of the total, indicating that the culture of using local gift certificates has been stably established in residents' daily lives. Policy-issued amounts, such as public interest allowances for farmers and fishermen and awards for public officials, accounted for 17.4 billion KRW.

Haenam-gun is achieving the effect of establishing a virtuous cycle for revitalizing the local economy, including small business owners, through active circulation of local gift certificates amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation.

In particular, by securing about 11.3 billion KRW in national funds, Haenam-gun is offering a 10% discount sale on the Haenam Love Gift Certificate, providing practical benefits to users.

Additionally, with over 3,400 daily-life-related affiliated stores secured and the introduction of card gift certificates to improve portability, the county has laid the foundation for residents to use local gift certificates most conveniently.

Ahead of Chuseok, Haenam-gun is conducting a gift certificate purchase appreciation event along with raising the 10% discount purchase limit.

From September, the monthly discount purchase limit per individual will increase from 700,000 KRW to 1,000,000 KRW, allowing purchases at a 10% discount.

Also, from the 1st to the 30th of this month, anyone who purchases more than 700,000 KRW worth of Haenam Love Gift Certificates will be automatically entered into the purchase event. A total of 200 winners (100 for paper gift certificates, 100 for card gift certificates) will be randomly drawn next month and will receive a 20,000 KRW worth agricultural product package set via courier. The results will be announced on the county office website and notified individually via text message.
