Hamyang-gun Completes Phase 1 of Sports Park Project to Contribute to Residents' Health
Investing Over 14.9 Billion KRW Including National Funds to Develop 210,480㎡ Sports Park Complex (3 Soccer Fields, Jokgu Courts, etc.)
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The first phase of the Hamyang Sports Park project, which will contribute to the healthy leisure activities of the residents of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, has been completed.
On the 8th, Hamyang-gun held a completion ceremony for the first phase of the Hamyang Sports Park construction project at 610 Baekyeon-ri, Hamyang-eup, attended by about 40 people including Hamyang County Governor Seo Chun-su, County Council Chairman Hwang Tae-jin, heads of related organizations, and local residents.
The Hamyang Sports Park construction project was selected in 2015 for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's support project for the installation of community sports facilities, securing a total project cost of 14.9 billion KRW, including 5.8 billion KRW in national funds, 200 million KRW in provincial funds, and 8.9 billion KRW in county funds. It was developed on a site area of 210,480㎡ with three soccer fields, a jokgu court, parking lots, and more.
Governor Seo Chun-su said, "I hope Hamyang Sports Park becomes a space for healthy community sports for the residents and also contributes to the local economy through hosting various competitions and training camps. I thank the residents of Hamyang-gun and all related parties for their cooperation despite many inconveniences during the construction period."
