BMT Develops Core Components for Hydrogen Infrastructure... "To Showcase at 'Hydrogen Mobility+ Show'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] BMT, a fitting and valve specialist company, announced on the 7th that it will participate in the '2021 Hydrogen Mobility+ Show' held at KINTEX in Ilsan, showcasing its self-developed products for hydrogen infrastructure.
The Hydrogen Mobility+ Show, running from the 8th to the 11th, is the largest hydrogen exhibition in Korea, with participation from 154 related organizations across 12 countries including the United States, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The core themes are divided into three areas: ▲Hydrogen Mobility ▲Hydrogen Charging Infrastructure ▲Hydrogen Energy.
At this exhibition, BMT plans to introduce its 'Pre-forming Fittings' along with a series of medium- and high-pressure fittings and valves capable of handling pressures up to 60,000 psi. The Pre-forming Fittings are medium-pressure double ferrule type fittings developed using BMT’s proprietary patented technology. They are designed to enhance installation convenience for gas pipelines operating at approximately 20,000 psi while maintaining excellent airtightness against external environmental changes such as vibrations. These products are optimized for high-pressure fluid systems using various materials including stainless steel, titanium, and super duplex, as well as heavy-wall tubes.
Through this participation, BMT aims to localize key components for hydrogen infrastructure. The company also plans to accelerate the development of ultra-high-pressure (105MPa = 1050 bar) hydrogen pipeline valves, currently underway as part of a national project, and expedite product commercialization.
A company representative stated, “Expansion of the hydrogen ecosystem is essential to respond to climate change and achieve sustainable development,” adding, “We will intensify research and development efforts alongside the global hydrogen market growth and establish ourselves as a leading company in the localization of core hydrogen infrastructure components.”
