HUG-Busan City 'Haeundae Arboretum Development'... Selected as Best Proactive Administration Project
The Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) announced on the 6th that the 'Haeundae Arboretum Development' project, promoted in collaboration with Busan City as part of the Busan Innovation City regional development plan, has been selected as the Best Project for Active Administration by Busan City.
This project involves transforming the 'Seokdae Landfill,' a representative nuisance facility in Busan known for odor and harmful gas emissions, into an arboretum. It is a long-cherished project of Busan City, and upon completion in 2025, it will be the largest arboretum near an urban area nationwide.
In May, HUG donated 500 million KRW to the Haeundae Arboretum development project as part of its park green space creation and convenience facility support initiatives. The donation will be used for landscaping work and other related construction at the Haeundae Arboretum.
