Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and the Sancheong Office of Education announced on the 6th that they will operate the ‘Sancheong Donguibogam Village One-Day Family Experiential Learning’ as part of the ‘Cheonwangbong Happiness Education District’ project.
The program will be held nine times from the 25th to October 23rd. Applications for the first round (4 sessions in the first half) will be accepted from the 8th to the 15th, and the second round (5 sessions in the latter half) will be accepted from the 27th to October 4th.
For the safety of participating students and families, applications will be accepted for up to 5 families (20 people), divided into two teams to conduct the experience with 10 people each. In particular, all programs will be operated in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
This experiential learning is conducted in connection with the Donguibogam Village Wellness Health Tour program.
It consists of well-aging walking suitable for children and youth family units, traditional Korean medicine experience such as making Gongjindan, and activities like Baeppop Wangjjeum. It also includes anti-aging berry experiences such as berry tiramisu and yogurt making.
Any family accompanied by at least one youth residing in the county can apply, and participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with classes held on the designated days for each course.
Before the full-scale experiential learning, the county and the Office of Education conducted a pilot operation for families from both organizations in May, and the program will be operated with improvements based on the feedback received.
