NongHyup Financial Group Conducts 'Love Agricultural Produce Package' Sharing Worth 3.2 Billion KRW
On the 6th, NongHyup Financial Group announced that at the NH Investment & Securities building located on Yeoui-daero, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Lee Seong-hee, Chairman of NongHyup Central Association, Son Byung-hwan, Chairman of NongHyup Financial Group, Jang Man-hee, Commander of the Salvation Army, and CEOs of affiliated companies along with volunteer staff participated in the 'Sharing Love Agricultural Product Packages' event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of NongHyup's founding. The event took place at the NH Investment & Securities building located on Yeouidaero, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, with the attendance of Lee Seong-hee, Chairman of NongHyup Central Association, Son Byung-hwan, Chairman of NongHyup Financial Group, Jang Man-hee, Commander of the Salvation Army, and CEOs of affiliated companies along with employee volunteer groups.
This Love Agricultural Products Package Sharing involved a total of 56,400 packages worth 3.2 billion KRW, a large-scale social contribution prepared to celebrate the 60th anniversary of NongHyup’s founding. The specially made packages consisted of agricultural products produced by farms struggling due to COVID-19 and processed foods made from those agricultural products.
NongHyup Financial Group plans to deliver these agricultural product packages from September to November to vulnerable groups nationwide, including low-income children, elderly living alone, and people with disabilities, as well as to medical staff fighting against COVID-19, from Seoul to Jeju in cooperation with the Salvation Army.
Chairman Lee Seong-hee said, "I hope this Love Package Sharing will be a gift of hope to vulnerable groups and medical staff who are struggling due to COVID-19 ahead of Chuseok, and NongHyup will continue to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management that meets the trust of the people and social expectations."
