SKT to Advance 110 Billion KRW Payments to Partners Ahead of Chuseok
[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] SK Telecom announced on the 6th that it plans to make early payments totaling approximately 110 billion KRW before the start of the Chuseok holiday to help its business partners reduce financial burdens.
Accordingly, SK Telecom plans to prepay about 60 billion KRW in service fees to 230 companies including small and medium-sized equipment suppliers and construction firms, and about 50 billion KRW to over 270 dealerships nationwide. SK Telecom expects this win-win plan to help improve the cash liquidity of external partners who have been striving to maintain service quality despite the COVID-19 situation.
Additionally, SK Telecom will continue its efforts to connect small and strong companies with job seekers by operating the Biz Partner recruitment center on the online job site Saramin until November. Now in its second year, the Biz Partner recruitment center supports hiring for 175 ICT companies collaborating with SK Telecom in various fields such as mobile communications, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and big data. As SK Telecom fully covers the costs of job advertisements and banner ads and supports content creation for each Biz Partner’s recruitment positions, 65 Biz Partners have been able to recruit 135 new talents in just over four months.
Furthermore, SK Telecom converted its annual ‘Pride Awards,’ which selected outstanding partners and provided overseas training programs, into welfare points to support employee welfare at those partner companies. A total of welfare points worth 100 million KRW were provided to 30 outstanding partners, allowing their employees to use them for travel, cultural activities, health maintenance, children’s tuition, and other purposes.
