Cooperation with Traditional Market Merchants Association... Strengthening Preemptive Testing, Quarantine Activities, and Mask Wearing Enforcement
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) has taken proactive measures in cooperation with the merchants' association, including setting up mobile screening clinics, to ensure visitors can safely visit traditional markets ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
To facilitate smooth screening for merchants and visitors, the district installed a 'Mobile Screening Clinic' at Daemyeong Private Parking Lot on the 4th and began full operation from the 5th.
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and will continue until the situation is resolved.
Additionally, to create a safe traditional market environment, further measures include ▲distribution of masks and various quarantine supplies at traditional markets ▲strengthening disinfection within the markets ▲expanding market-led quarantine activities ▲mandatory mask-wearing for all visitors including merchants, along with guidance and enforcement.
Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “We decided on proactive measures to create a safe traditional market environment ahead of the holiday. Besides setting up the mobile screening clinics, we are blocking infection possibilities through strengthened quarantine activities and mask-wearing enforcement in cooperation with market merchants, so we ask everyone to visit the traditional markets with confidence.”
