The ‘Living Garden Package Support Project’ focuses on selecting local governments to serve as hubs for spreading garden culture and industry, and intensively supporting the creation of living gardens during the Korean New Deal project period (2022?2025).
With the selection in the public contest, Jeonju City will invest 7.5 billion KRW in national funds and 4 billion KRW in city funds from next year until 2025 to create 8 indoor gardens and 7 outdoor gardens at major hubs and representative facilities in the Jeonju area, establishing a total of 15 beautiful garden attractions.
Jeonju City plans to set annual themes as follows: △2022 ‘Opening the First Impression of Garden City Jeonju’ △2023 ‘I Live in a Garden Village’ △2024 ‘Healing the Mind in the Garden’ △2025 ‘A Garden Where People and Culture Coexist,’ and will discover and select target sites according to each theme to create gardens.
