DGB Financial Group Supports Startup Investment Attraction with Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and Pium Lab
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] DGB Financial Group announced on the 3rd that it jointly hosted the investment attraction support program ‘U-CONNECT IR Demo Day Partner Pium Lab’ with the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund on the 2nd.
The U-CONNECT Demo Day is an investment attraction platform launched by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund in July 2019, conducting online and offline events with various investment partners. This time, ‘DGB Pium Lab,’ a fintech startup incubation program operated by DGB Financial Group, participated as a partner.
Last April, the two organizations signed a ‘Business Agreement for Supporting Innovative Startup Convergence’ to foster the local startup ecosystem, providing various supports such as joint discovery of excellent startups and investment linkage support. This joint event was also promoted as an extension of that agreement.
The event lasted about 90 minutes and was conducted through the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s YouTube channel. After the pre-recorded IR presentations of participating companies were broadcast, a live Q&A session between investors and companies followed.
Startups selected and graduated from DGB Financial Group’s Pium Lab presented IRs to investors. Three startups from Daegu and Gyeongbuk participated: ‘Neophons,’ a medical AI and digital therapeutics developer; ‘Dallara Network,’ operator of the Yebista solution app ‘Twingple’; and ‘D-Able,’ operator of a women’s health management platform for infertility and pre-pregnancy.
From the metropolitan area, five excellent companies participated: ‘RunInvest,’ providing personal asset management and SME financial management solutions; ‘MoneyStation,’ offering global financial social network services and investment big data solutions; ‘Buen Camino,’ developing goal-achievement type fund-saving services; ‘Angel League,’ providing an online alternative investment platform focused on unlisted stock markets; and ‘Oasis Business,’ an AI commercial district analysis and commercial real estate valuation technology prop fintech company.
