Full Effort to Achieve 'Top Excellence' in the Second Half
Team Reporting Meetings Held to Review Detailed Execution Status by Project
[Gangjin=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do, held a "Second Half Rapid Execution Promotion Status Report Meeting" chaired by the deputy county governor for four days starting from the 30th of last month to accelerate rapid execution in the second half following the first half.
According to the county on the 3rd, the meeting was attended by heads of departments and teams to check the execution status of all projects, emphasizing balanced monthly execution to prevent concentration of execution at the end of the year. They also actively considered reorganizing budgets for projects that are difficult to proceed into necessary project budgets.
The county plans to continue holding monthly progress review meetings to manage execution status and actively seek solutions for difficulties and problems. Additionally, they plan to minimize carryover and unused funds by actively utilizing advance payments, progress payments, and prior notification of government-supplied materials.
In particular, to revitalize the local economy stagnated by COVID-19, central government ministries have continuously emphasized rapid execution since the first half of the year. In line with this, Gangjin-gun is making various efforts to promptly allocate budgets to the right places and ensure rapid execution.
Deputy County Governor Lee Sang-shim said, "We will pay more attention to and manage investment projects to successfully complete this year's projects, and we hope the rapid execution in the second half will also achieve a successful conclusion."
Meanwhile, Gangjin-gun has been selected as the "Best Institution" at the county level for three consecutive years since 2019 in the "First Half Rapid Execution Evaluation," which evaluates 243 local governments nationwide, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
