The Consumer Rights Enhancement Advisory Committee is an internal organization within the bank aimed at strengthening the rights of financial consumers. It serves an advisory role to enhance financial consumers' rights by suggesting improvements to consumer protection systems and processes, reviewing consumer orientation of new products and services, and operates with four external experts and one internal member.
Professor Kwon Dae-woo of Hanyang University, former president of the Korean Consumer Studies Association, serves as the chairman. Professor Yoo Hyun-jung of Chungbuk National University, president of the Korean Consumer Culture Association; Professor Jeon Kyung-geun of Ajou University, a financial law expert; and Professor Lee Seung-wook of Ewha Womans University, a labor law expert, were appointed as members. The internal member is Executive Director Myung Hyun-sik, the head of financial consumer protection at KB Kookmin Bank.
