According to the animal rescue group WeAct on the 2nd, a tipster posted that on the 27th of last month, a white puppy was seen hanging outside a running truck on a four-lane road in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, being dragged along.
The truck repeatedly stopped and ran while hanging the puppy.
The tipster, who witnessed this, chased the truck and took advantage of a stop at a traffic signal to confront the truck driver, asking, "What are you doing?" and tried to help the bloodied puppy.
As this citizen stopped their car on the shoulder, the truck driver threw the puppy into the driver's seat and fled.
WeAct officially announced this fact through their Instagram on the 30th of last month and submitted a petition and an animal abuse complaint to the Pohang Northern Police Station on the 1st.
During the police investigation, the truck driver reportedly claimed it was a "mistake," saying the puppy, which was being transported in the cargo bed, fell to the side during driving.
