HMM Labor-Management Negotiations Settled 'Hand in Hand Commemorative Photo'
The 'HMM Land and Sea Labor Unions Joint Emergency Press Conference' was held on the 2nd at the Financial and Office Workers' Union meeting room in Jung-gu, Seoul. The HMM labor and management reached a dramatic agreement after an 18-hour meeting during additional negotiations on wages and collective agreements (wage and collective agreement) that started at 2 p.m. the previous day. The agreement includes a 7.9% wage increase for both land employees and sea employees (seafarers), retroactively applied from January 1, 2021, a 650% bonus and productivity incentive payment (to be paid within the year), and an average welfare expense increase of about 2.7%.
