DuPont Korea Appoints Dongman Shin as CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Shin Dong-man, Vice President and Head of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region in the Functional Materials Business Unit of DuPont Mobility & Materials Group, has been appointed as the CEO of DuPont Korea.
DuPont Korea announced on the 2nd that Vice President Shin has assumed the position of CEO of DuPont Korea.
CEO Shin has contributed to business growth by taking on various roles in the industrial and consumer goods sectors based on silicon for the past 25 years. Along with his appointment as CEO, he will also continue to serve as Head of Sales for the Asia-Pacific industrial and consumer goods markets, as well as the electrical and electronics markets, and oversee distributor sales, roles he has held since 2019.
Before joining DuPont, he led the growth of the XIAMETER® brand business as Head of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region in the Functional Silicone Business Unit at Dow Chemical. He successfully led sales teams responsible for regional market development and key customer management of major silicone products such as siloxanes, polymers, sealants, rubber, and silane products within Dow Chemical’s Functional Silicone Business Unit.

CEO Shin earned a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University and completed an MBA at the same university’s graduate school. He joined Dow Corning in 1999, starting as a production engineer and progressing through technical roles including Six Sigma Black Belt, production process engineering, and new product development before moving to the architectural industry sales team to begin his sales career. He subsequently held various leadership roles in sales and business, including Korea Sales Manager, Asia-Pacific Product Manager, and Asia-Pacific Sales General Manager. His key markets included automotive, electrical, electronics, industrial and consumer goods, construction, and chemical manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining Dow Corning, he worked for four years as a production and process engineer in the chemical division of Hanwha.
