KOTRA Holds K-Consumer Goods Exhibition and Consultation in Tokyo, Japan

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] KOTRA announced on the 2nd that it will hold the 'K-Lifestyle in Japan' exhibition and consultation event in Tokyo, Japan until the 10th to support the export of domestic consumer goods companies to Japan.
This project consists of various programs such as △O2O sample exhibition △online export consultation △distribution network entry briefing. The O2O sample exhibition showroom was held at The Peninsula Tokyo from the day before until the day of the event. KOTRA exhibited samples of over 130 consumer goods products from Korean companies, including eco-friendly cosmetics and vegan foods, to support purchase consultations through sample experiences by Japanese buyers. The online export consultation, which continues until the 10th of this month, involves 80 domestic companies and 50 Japanese companies, conducting a total of about 250 consultations.
KOTRA explained that Japanese buyers showed concentrated interest in eco-friendly and ethical consumption fields such as cosmetics made from organic ingredients and vegan foods during this consultation. KOTRA plans to promote various support projects after the online consultation, including sample logistics costs and test sales support targeting consumers.

Jung Wooyoung, head of KOTRA's Japan Regional Headquarters, said, "The Tokyo Olympics, conducted with an eco-friendly theme, is also influencing Japanese consumer trends," and added, "We will actively help Korean consumer goods companies to pioneer the Japanese market."
