SK Ecoplant Reviews Plant Business Spin-off..."Sale Decision Not Finalized"
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] SK Ecoplant (formerly SK Construction) is considering a business split of its plant construction division (Eco Engineering Business Unit).
An SK Ecoplant official said on the 1st, "We are reviewing a business split," adding, "Specific details such as sale after the split have not yet been finalized."
Plant construction refers to the field of building large-scale industrial facilities such as power plants and factories. Domestic construction companies previously entered the overseas plant market in large numbers, but due to intensified competition and deteriorating profitability, they have recently been downsizing their operations.
